Location: To cover Green Ore and Nether Stowey branches (Somerset)

Our business is experiencing an exciting period of growth. As a result, we are looking for a proactive Agricultural Machinery Demonstrator. Ideally you will have either a farming and/or mechanical background and be passionate about the industry. A good understanding of John Deere Tractors, Combine Harvesters, and Self-Propelled Forager Harvesters (SPFH) would be an advantage. However, training can be offered to the right person.

Your organisation skills will be second to none, plus you will be a real people person and enjoy conversing with a diverse customer base. The fact that you will be able to travel is a bonus to you as you will appreciate the variety that this type of role provides across all our branch locations.

About the role:

  • Supporting both sales staff and customers with our range of John Deere and other franchised products.
  • Demonstrating, installing, and offering general product support to an Industry leading level.
  • Perform pre-delivery setup on new or used equipment.
  • Participate in Service Training Certification programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
  • Supports the Sales Professional to demonstrate, Optimise and install our Machinery offerings.
  • Consults customers on optimizing performance, reducing costs, operation efficiencies, etc.
  • Organizes John Deere and other franchise products, training clinics and other training sessions for customers and dealer personnel.
  • Develops and maintains subject matter expert relations with key stakeholders and key prospect customers.
  • Manages on-going relationships with key John Deere personnel.
  • Performs any other tasks when required.
  • Works closely with the Precision Ag/Demonstration team to maintain a very high standard of organisation, time management, support, and customer services.

Relevant Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming operational practices.
  • Combine Harvester and SPFH experience would be an advantage.
  • Familiar with competitive products.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
